Another life changed, another family back together, and another success story…
He arrived here like so many, broken and hopeless! And as many others had experienced just the same, there was a magic that set in soon after arriving. Click the video above and listen as he describes his story…
There is no denying that we, as a society, have been battling substance abuse for decades. The problem is that, despite the apparent advances we have recorded in this area, there still is no apparent end in sight; as it, we would try catching the wind with the help of a fishing net. At Arizona Addiction Recovery Center, this simple fact has helped us realize the need for innovation in the way we approach the situation.
Drug addiction is a complex disease, which has forced the Mesa, Arizona drug rehab centers to adapt accordingly. The most effective treatments are not those that follow strict guidelines, but those that bend and adjust to the patient’s needs, character, and personal life. Such therapy would approach each patient differently because we are all different human beings, with different experiences and equally unique problems.
What never changes, however, is how drugs affect us. Our brains have naturally evolved to seek pleasure in detriment of the pain, life to the detriment of death and so on. And when an opiate tricks this million years old ever-evolving organ into releasing massive amounts of dopamine, thus causing high levels of pleasure and euphoria, our brain’s greatest strength – adaptability – will also become its greatest weakness.
The National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) has shown that approximately 21.5 million American people over the age of 12 were showing signs of drug use disorder in 2014 or were full-on addicted. And if this number seems excessive, here is one that goes the opposite direction: only 10% of them got the treatment they needed, in a professional institution, be it governmental or private.
Innovation and science to the rescue
The Mesa, Arizona drug rehab centers needed not only to help the patients recover from their condition but help them remain sober for the rest of their lives as well. And the latter required approaching the rehabilitation treatment from a different perspective.
The most innovative programs include:
- Intervention and Family Guidance – The family can play a significant role in the addict’s emotional and spiritual recovery. They say the road to Heaven always takes the downward route through Hell, and it is always priceless to have your family supporting you along the way.
- Life and Recovery Coaching – The patient needs to learn how to become socially functional again, and how to become a responsible, self-sustaining individual once more, especially since most of the addicts will lose their jobs as a result. This program will do just that – teaching the patient the mechanisms of regaining control over his life.
- Sober living and aftercare – In a sense, the rehab program will sacrifice your freedom for a greater good. But once exiting the walls of the institution, the individual will suddenly become responsible for his own life from then on. This program has been built to prevent relapse and help the patient better control his urges.
At the Arizona Addiction Recovery Center, we have among the best Mesa, Arizona drug rehab centers in the nation, with our focus being on the patient’s full rehabilitation. It is a laborious, complicated process, but if it ends up saving lives, it is all worth it.Mesa Arizona Drug Rehab Centers

I’m 32 years old and had been to at least 5 or 6 drug rehabs in the past 10 years or so. After having been here for almost 90 days, I can sincerely say that I’ve never experienced such an awesome way to get sober and learn how to live and enjoy life without the use of drugs. Thank you everyone!Jennifer Grieti
My son Jordan was here for 6 weeks and the changes I’ve noticed in him are astounding. Even beyond the drug abuse, he has for the first time in his life really taken on the responsibilities a man in his 20’s should. He’s now back in college and our family is as wonderful as ever…thank you to Chris and Alex, you guys are wonderful!!!Dianne King (Jordan's mom)
A coaching client of mine was really struggling with heroin addiction and unfortunately became hooked beyond belief. I investigated a number of treatment facilities throughout Arizona and determined this was likely the best option given his age and addiction. He went through detox and residential treatment here for 3 months and today I must that I have been truly impressed every step of the way. I definitely recommend AARC…Trevis Carlisle (Life Coach)
